ahem! clarification.. :)

I am jolly as i can be.. I am neither cynical, nor i am bound by any rules or pressures.. i am actually pretty free by my own will. I have merely stated facts here, and nothing else.. fifteenth of august is not souls independence day! its India's independence day, so i have taken up issues that continue to press. its just that we have a chalta hai attitude so people like me have to keep on reminding about the actual facts.. say for example you were tired one day and did not do your chores. you were soo tired that you slept off on the sofa, but people like me have to keep on reminding us that this is not the bedroom. one day fine, but your actual sleeping place is the bed!
Otherwise i am pretty happy with the freedoms that i take liberty of, and pretty optimistic about the future.. but i was JUST giving the actual facts :) i have seen many people who have had to modify their career path due to our society, so i have said about it.
KEEP THINKING, KEEP EVOLVING.. :)

INDEPENDENCE DAY????????

So today we complete 62 years of independent India... But what is so special about today?? today was the culmination of the efforts of hundreds of thousands of people over more than 150 years, to achieve what we call and what we think is FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE ...

Bu what is freedom? THe oxford dictionary defines freedom as the power to act, speak or think freely . so are we free?? everyone does something because he has to do it. except for a handful of people, most of us make choices by convention or force.. its the classic herd of sheep example.. from birth to death, its all decided by the society what you are supposed to do. and the few handful of people who act independently and do anything they do just because they want to do so, are called antisocial, and what not... most of us are joined in school today because thats convention.. did any of our parents do it by choice? did anyone think of a gurukul? then

you join IIT foundation because everyone does so.. or maybe a few people go for medical foundation.. then in intermediate you join a corporate college where ou will be anything but free. then you invariable join btech or mbbs or bpharma.. how many people are joining pure science or arts like bsc or bcom today BY CHOICE? its mostly either because they did not score enough for btech or because they cant afford it.. then you do a safe job because everyone does so. any one who takes risks and fails is shown as an exapmle of what the society does to people who defy it.. and those who succeed are flattered and taken to heights.. the result??? everybody starts thinking, everyone cant become like that.. i am not that capable, and such stuff. then you retire and donate to charity if you can, or become as helpless as you can, fearing every second as to what will happen if your meagre assets get misplaced? then you die in the same tension.

SO TELL ME WHERE'S THE GODDAMN FREEDOM??????

Now lets see about independence. India is a country with an airforce that is one of the five best ones in the world, without one proper proven aircraft thats it has built itself, and most of the aircraft come from the only countries that would dare to challenge it. so where's the fifth best airforce now? our navy gets the nuclear submarine capabilitythat is as outdated as our leaders' minds. russia and the USA had it way back in 1950's, whenu nderstandable we could not have done it, as we were just born.. China got it in 1981, and Pakistan wil not even think of attacking anyone without their support..so how is it great to get it now??

So, the bottomline is that we are in now way MILITARILY INDEPENDENT

Financially?? Whatever anyone might say, India has been hit by the recession, and its been hit BAD. What everyone thought as our insulation from it, was merely a delay . each day, people continue to lose jobs, and more and more fresh graduates are sitting at home. most of the companies in the IT sector are foreign, so any influence will be direct.

So we are not FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT.

So where, IS the independence and where is the freedom???? then whats all this fuss about August 15th??
